I HAVE LEARNED
That nothing good comes easy
That one real friend is really all you need
That everything is temporary
That grief is the price you pay for great love
That we all feel broken sometimes
That you can repress your wild but it will find a way out
That the world doesn’t need another copy
That love is not all hearts and kisses
That the only way to truly feel alive is to let people in
That life is about more than paying bills and playing it safe
That a smile is powerful
That you won’t get far if you’re not a friend to yourself
That kindness resonates and multiplies endlessly
That life is far too short for holding onto grudges
That you can only run from yourself for so long
That no one escapes pain and suffering, we all have our share
That life isn’t easy but it is wonderful
That every day we breathe is a chance for something wonderful to happen
That the moments we will remember in the end are all that matter
