The Art of Being Easily Pleased
“The trick, I think, is to become easily pleased. To be astounded, every day, by the things that so beautifully surround us. To really see this miracle of life we are living. To find magic in the minutiae. Knowing, that we will never cease to be wowed by this universe and its miraculous glimmers of hope, love and connection.”
The Art of Being Easily Pleased is my most exciting project to date because it contains all of the whys and the hows.
I created this book for all the ‘overs’ out there and for anyone who never felt enough and yet somehow too much…
“If you are an over-thinker, an over-feeler, an over-lover, an over-healer – you will know – that this way of being does not flow. It takes work.”
This is me showing my work.
This book is part manifesto, part memoir, part poetry. Holistically, it is a soul-guide to feeling much more at peace with this life and its twists. To being fully present and alive in the moment and to be open and willing for joy to visit whenever she will.
It is packed full of new poems, meditations, affirmations, journal prompts, my drawings, spine-tingling nuggets of science and wisdom and stories from my world and yours.
Through chapters entitled, BEGIN, BREAK FREE, SEEK, ACCEPT, GRIEVE, BELIEVE, CONNECT and CREATE… this book will be your companion into calm, contentment and a better sense of our place within this vibrant tapestry of life.
Starting today, we find beauty in the ordinary. We remember who we are and we connect to one another and the energy that surrounds us all.
As with all my books, you are encouraged to open these pages randomly to receive the message you need, every day.
‘There is glue
and it is me and it is you,
picking up pieces of each other
to get through.’

I write to keep my mindset focused on the light. A survival tactic turned into a passionate purpose. My poetry and quotes are simple, heartfelt, message driven, and hopefully go straight to the soul. It is my mission to provide words that can be used everyday, as well as in those moments life hits hardest.
Words carry what they are and poetry is not just for literary minded poetry buffs, it can be used in so many ways to simply ease the rub of this life – a balm if you like. I hope you will find comfort and new perspectives in my books as well as some things you already knew but had perhaps forgotten along the way. It’s a rocky ride, this world, and I like to think poetically arranged words are like medicine for soul-flu. A hug on a page. A glimmer in the grey. A reminder that even in the worst of times there is hope, there is light and there are others who have been where you are.
